Job Summary
Investigate claims issues and provide information to damagers including homeowners, contractors, and insurance companies. Negotiate settlements and determine liability by reviewing evidence such as photographs, reports, and permit records. Resolve disputes, provide detailed data entry into customized claims systems, and track fees to close and open claims. Skip trace as necessary using internet resources. This fully remote position requires high-speed internet and basic Microsoft Office skills. Department hours are 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. You will work with a team of over 200 members in a third-party subrogation firm focused on recovering damage claims for utility companies.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of clerical and/or data input experience
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Accurate data review and data entry skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize work
- Organized, thorough and detail-oriented
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High-speed internet service required
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Criminal background checks
