Job Summary
Provide engineering/design support to the Tampa team on solid waste projects including landfill gas systems, industrial wastewater, and stormwater permitting. Prepare permit applications and regulatory submittals, collect site samples, oversee drilling activities, and conduct construction quality assurance observations. Complete quality control reviews on all work products and independently coordinate with contractors and clients. Use AutoCAD or ArcGIS for design plans and prepare calculations supporting design documents. Perform 10-20% local field work with the remainder in the Tampa office, with extended travel including interstate driving and air travel as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil, environmental, biosystems, or geotechnical engineering
- 3 months of relevant solid waste, environmental and/or engineering internship, work and/or research experience
- Ability to learn AutoCAD or comparable software
- Local field work expected 10-20% with the remainder in our Tampa office
- Extended travel, including interstate driving and traveling by plane
- Valid Driver's License with a driving record in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
