Job Summary
Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings using AutoCAD, and permit applications for solid waste and landfill projects. Conduct quality control reviews, coordinate with contractors and clients, and perform multi-media sampling and reporting. Execute construction oversight, document site-specific health and safety plans, and participate in required field and office activities. Based in Blacksburg, VA with occasional local travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil, environmental, biosystems, or geotechnical engineering
- 3 months of relevant solid waste, environmental and/or engineering internship, work and/or research experience
- Valid Driver's License with a driving record in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Basic AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil3D knowledge
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
