Job Summary
Review site plans, subdivision applications, and capital improvement projects for municipal compliance. Support planning and zoning board reviews by preparing technical comments and reports. Assist with roadway improvement design, including plan preparation and basic engineering calculations under senior guidance. Coordinate with inspectors during construction phases and review field conditions. Communicate professionally with boards, applicants, inspectors, and internal team members. Participate in the peer mentor program and hands-on leadership curriculum covering project economics and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or scheduled to take the EIT exam
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort participating in public meetings
- Interest in and commitment to municipal engineering work
- Willingness to work from and commit to the Neptune/Tinton Falls, NJ office
Desired Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in civil or municipal engineering
- Familiarity with municipal infrastructure, transportation, or water/wastewater projects
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar engineering software
