Job Summary
Review site plans, subdivision applications, and capital improvement projects for municipal compliance. Prepare technical comments, memoranda, and reports for Planning and Zoning Board reviews. Assist with infrastructure design for stormwater, roadway, and water systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D, while performing calculations under senior guidance. Visit project sites to observe construction activities and coordinate with inspectors and contractors. Work alongside experienced engineers in mentorship programs to develop expertise across municipal engineering disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or plans to sit for the EIT exam
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to participate confidently in public meetings
- Demonstrated interest in municipal engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in civil or municipal engineering
- Familiarity with municipal infrastructure, stormwater management, transportation, traffic engineering, or water and wastewater projects
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar engineering design software
