Job Summary
Plan, design, and oversee sustainable site development, grading, and construction projects by collaborating with project managers and senior engineers. Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to collect data on environmental resources, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare engineering plans, reports, and technical documentation to support environmental permitting and project execution. Develop design specifications and cost estimates, while reviewing subdivision and zoning plans including stormwater management and erosion control measures. Submit federal, state, and local permit applications and provide construction observation services to verify adherence to quality standards. Assist with grant and funding applications. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 0-2 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation. Located in Westmoreland County, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent
- Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) registration or ability to obtain within one year
- 0-2 years' experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to clients and prepare technical reports
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, quality, and continuous improvement in engineering practices
- Physically able to perform fieldwork and travel as required
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
