Job Summary
Conduct daily chemical tests, adjust process chemistry, and operate pumping systems to maintain automotive paint detackification processes. Perform jar tests, monitor chemical levels, and manage inventory while documenting results for cost control. Repair application equipment, adjust valve flows, and execute daily washer checks using five-stage titration. Handle chemical drums manually and wear required PPE including steel-toed boots, which candidates must provide. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering, 0-3 years experience, and availability for rotating shifts and weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering
- 0-3 years - Entry Level (Manager is not looking for candidates who have more than 3 years' experience)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with quality systems concepts
- Knowledge of basic IT tools (e.g. MS Office)
- Available to work rotating shifts
- Available to work weekends (when necessary)
- Able to travel on a limited basis
- Physically capable of working on feet for extensive periods of time
- Computer Skills MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Basic Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis ability
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be physically capable of obtaining their own pair of steel toed boot/shoes
- Must be able to obtain safety equipment such as steel toes, eye & ear protection, and chemical handling PPE such as face shields, apron, and gloves
