Job Summary
Full-time Junior Designer in New York City supporting architectural projects with a focus on ADA retrofits and building improvements for educational and healthcare clients. Responsibilities include field surveys, assessing site conditions, applying building and regulatory codes, developing architectural design and construction documents, preparing drawings using AutoCAD & Revit, creating 3D models and renderings, providing construction administration services, coordinating with client representatives and contractors, attending in-office and off-site meetings, and supporting other company projects as directed by senior management. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, 0-3 years of experience, proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, knowledge of building codes and ADA standards, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a sustainability interest. Location is New York City with 10% field work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 0-3 years of experience in the design and construction field
- Experience with construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other common business programs
- Proficiency in AutoCad and Revit
- Ability to operate Bluebeam Revu
- Knowledge of building codes and ADA standards
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
- Ability to work collaboratively within team environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects with quick turnarounds
- Experience or interest in Sustainability
