Job Summary
Conduct federal, state, and international tax research for attorneys handling mergers, acquisitions, and transfer pricing matters. Analyze complex tax issues affecting corporate transactions and strategic planning, then draft memoranda, legal opinions, and tax planning documentation. Participate in due diligence activities for restructurings and joint ventures while assisting with tax controversy matters, audits, and litigation preparation. Collaborate across practice groups on multidisciplinary client matters involving Fortune 500 corporations and technology organizations, ensuring all work products maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Current third-year law student (3L) expected to graduate from an accredited law school
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career focused on tax law
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced legal environment
- High level of professionalism and sound judgment
- U.S.-based applicants residing in one of the eligible office locations only
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of tax law coursework with strong academic performance
- Participation in Tax Law Society, Moot Court, Law Review, or similar legal organizations
- Previous judicial internship, law clerk, or summer associate experience
