Job Summary
Take entries from owners, trainers, agents, or other authorized persons, assemble pertinent information, and input data into the RTO racing software for specified race cards. Ensure entry integrity by maintaining confidentiality to support profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength, and compliance goals. This role requires a minimum of three years of similar experience, New Mexico Racing Commission licensing, and the ability to perform duties in all weather conditions while handling up to 75 pounds. You must adhere to all local, state, and federal standards including OSHA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three year's experience in similar type position or equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
- Must meet licensing requirements of New Mexico Racing Commission
- Must adhere to all local, state and federal standards, including OSHA requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to perform duties in all weather conditions
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
- Written communication skills in English
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
- Must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish is an asset
