Job Summary
Analyze user requirements and develop system requirements specifications, Concepts of Operations, and system architectures. Lead systems engineering, design, integration, and implementation activities throughout the system lifecycle, serving as the primary technical lead for integrating requirements, design, and emerging technologies. Develop System Engineering Management Plans, system integration plans, and test plans while collaborating with Government leadership to resolve technical issues and engineering risks. Conduct system trade studies to optimize performance and lifecycle costs, utilizing modeling, simulation, and prototyping to reduce risk. Manage system configuration throughout the system lifecycle, participate in Configuration Control Boards and Engineering Review Boards, and identify technical risks with mitigation strategies. Communicate technical recommendations and project status to government customers and senior executives.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline
- Five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Twenty (20) years of Systems Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
- Experience developing comprehensive Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions
- Experience developing DoDAF-compliant architecture products, including Operational, Technical, Systems, and Services Views
- Experience conducting end-to-end system trade analyses and lifecycle engineering activities
- Experience using modeling, simulation, and prototyping techniques to support system development
- Experience managing system configuration, engineering baselines, and associated technical documentation
- Experience supporting Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and Engineering Review Boards (ERB)
- Experience performing requirements elicitation, systems analysis, interface development, systems integration, technical assessments, and end-to-end flow analysis
Desired Qualifications
- AWS or other commercial cloud platform experience, including cloud architecture, migration, and system configuration
- Experience supporting cloud-based data warehouse environments
- Expertise in enterprise data flows, data management, and cloud storage architectures
- Experience providing strategic recommendations for data ingest, storage optimization, data integrity, and lifecycle management
- Experience integrating legacy data into modern cloud environments while ensuring compliance and reducing redundant data
- Hands-on experience using custom tools or scripts to search, preserve, remark, or remove data across very large datasets containing millions or billions of records
- Experience supporting transition and decommissioning efforts, historical data migrations, incident investigations, and customer-driven engineering activities
- Experience leading Agile development teams, serving as a Team Lead, Scrum Master, or facilitating Scrum ceremonies
