Job Summary
Design, deploy, configure, and administer NetApp enterprise storage environments, managing provisioning, capacity, performance, and lifecycle activities across production and nonproduction settings. Monitor storage health and utilization, resolve performance bottlenecks, and troubleshoot complex incidents involving NetApp systems, hosts, networks, and application dependencies. Perform upgrades, firmware updates, patching, hardware refreshes, and migrations while minimizing service disruption. Configure Storage Virtual Machines, volumes, aggregates, and export policies, and implement security controls consistent with organizational requirements. Support high availability and disaster recovery testing, coordinate with infrastructure teams for escalated incidents, and ensure platforms comply with configuration and operational standards. Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field
- 6+ or 8+ years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience as a NetApp Enterprise Storage Engineer
- Experience managing enterprise storage solutions for applications, cloud, and on premise file storage
- Expert knowledge of NetApp Data ONTAP
- Expert knowledge of ONTAP System Manager
- Expert knowledge of operating systems and technologies
- Proficient working knowledge of network technologies and protocols
- Strong understanding of storage systems, RAID, SAN, NAS, backup solutions, and data storage optimization
- Expertise in backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience working in virtual environments
- Security+ certification
- NetApp Certified Technology Solutions Professional certification
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) certification
- Must be available for travel to Norfolk, VA; Charleston, SC; Newport, RI; Whidbey Island, WA; San Diego, CA; Fallon, NV; Honolulu, HI; Naples, Italy; Guam; Bahrain; and Japan
