Job Summary
Collaborate with account teams to evaluate customer data center environments and design tailored infrastructure solutions aligning with business objectives. Support the development of solution proposals, including technical documentation and configurations, while partnering with Field Account Executives to act as a technical resource throughout the sales cycle. Provide technical guidance to customers and sales teams, presenting solutions and responding to technical questions during engagements. Identify opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Networking, Security, and Services offerings by building relationships with OEMs and technology partners. This role requires location in the NJ territory. The base salary range is $112,000 – $182,000, with on-target earnings of $160,000 – $260,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, pre-sales, or similar technical role
- Working knowledge of data center technologies, including hybrid cloud, virtualization, and infrastructure solutions
- Familiarity with technologies such as hypervisors, containerization, software-defined data center (SDDC), and automation tools
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities and communicating technical value to customers
- Understanding of leading technology platforms (e.g., Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Pure Storage, AWS, Azure, VMware, Nutanix)
- Knowledge of data protection, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts
- Ability to translate technical features into business value for customers
- Willingness to travel to customer, partner, and company events as needed
