On-siteWright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, United States
Job Summary
Design and map data transport architectures to automate PIR message ingestion and reduce latency in the Technical Intelligence workflow. Develop and integrate algorithms for background suppression, signal extraction, and target tracking into tool suites like Palette or MAX. Conduct research on target observables to derive morphography and coordinate frame conversions for accurate discrimination. Lead testing efforts to verify tool accuracy against ground truth data and ensure successful transition into exploitation systems. This role supports the National Air and Space Intelligence Center's mission of identifying and tracking targets of interest using high-fidelity Persistent Infrared data.
Required Qualifications
- A current Top-Secret/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficiency in software programming languages, specifically Python
- Deep understanding of PIR extraction analysis, dynamic target/event analysis, and automated PIR workflow development
- Experience in algorithm discovery and applying ancillary data for object identification and change detection
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with tool suites such as Palette or MAX
- Research on target observables to derive morphography and coordinate frame conversions for accurate target discrimination and typing
- Lead testing efforts to verify the accuracy of new tools against ground truth data and ensure successful transition into exploitation systems
