Job Summary
Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities by developing pursuit plans and managing the sales pipeline within a designated specialty area. Establish consultative relationships with clients to understand unique business needs, then translate product knowledge into tailored solutions for proposal development and negotiations. Support account managers with technical expertise for engagements up to C-level while driving renewals and up-selling existing accounts. Maintain accurate deal profiles in Siebel and forecast results, leveraging deep vertical industry knowledge to position company offerings against competitors.
Required Qualifications
- University or Bachelor's degree
- Directly related previous work experience
- Demonstrated success in achieving progressively higher quota
- Extensive vertical industry knowledge
- 5-8 years advanced sales experience
- Deep knowledge of products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings
- Understands the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated
- Understands the role of IT within area of specialization
- Broad understanding of the customer needs
- Leadership and initiative in successfully driving specialty sales in accounts
- Ability to take a deal through the sales cycle including closing or supporting the close of a deal
- Regular use of Siebel updating deal profile and forecasting accurately
- Understands services as part of strategic product sales
- Good prioritization and delegation skills
- Knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions
- Hybrid work arrangement (2 days per week from an HPE office)
