Enterprise Sales Engineer

Job Summary
Serve as the technical point of contact for prospects and customers throughout the pre-sales process, building relationships with CTOs, CISOs, and Network Architects. Partner with Sales teams to tailor solutions, deliver product demonstrations, and lead proofs of concept while translating requirements into scalable technical designs. Prepare detailed project documentation including floor plans and scope of work, then provide feedback to product and engineering based on customer insights. Support the design and execution of technical security solutions alongside project managers and operations teams. This role requires 3+ years of experience in a technical sales position, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to travel up to 25% overnight. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a technical sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, etc.) or relevant work experience
- Passion for technology and demonstrated interest in both hardware and software solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to our customers and partners
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent account management, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Candidates located in the Central Time Zone (CST) are preferred
- Sacramento candidates must be able to commute to the office up to 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday)
- San Francisco-Bay Area candidates must be able to commute to the office 1 day per week (Tuesday)
- Candidates can expect up to 25% overnight travel as required for this role
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and routing/switching devices
- Familiarity with Physical Security products, such as Security Cameras, Access Control, and IoT devices
- Experience and familiarity with LLM systems, prompting, and terminology
- Experience working with APIs, Python, other coding languages
