Job Summary
Execute and enhance core ERM framework components, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and escalation. Provide independent second-line oversight and challenge key operational and enterprise risks across Ireland, the UK, and Continental Europe. Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across all three lines of defence, influencing outcomes through expertise and insight. Produce high-quality, decision-useful risk reporting for governance committees and Boards, while supporting maintenance of risk inventories within GRC tools. Lead strategic initiatives for the European ERM team and ensure compliance with frameworks including UCITS, MiFID, and DORA. Work closely with first and second line colleagues to develop effective risk mitigation strategies aligned with the firm's risk appetite.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in risk management within financial services
- Strong hands-on expertise in operational and enterprise risk
- Strong understanding of UCITS and MiFID operating models
- Demonstrated ability to operate at Head of Risk-equivalent standard in judgement, influence, and regulatory credibility
- Experience designing, embedding, or overseeing ERM frameworks
- Experience with senior-level risk reporting
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale control transformation and improvement programmes
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Strong analytical capability
- Sound risk judgement
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders through expertise and constructive challenge
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a complex, matrixed environment
