Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue preferred) to ensure RAD system interfaces conform to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards. Perform comprehensive accessibility testing with JAWS and other screen readers, remediating issues in keyboard navigation, focus management, and ARIA implementation. Conduct manual and automated audits, document findings, and integrate tools like axe-core and Pa11y into CI/CD pipelines for continuous compliance monitoring. Partner with UX/UI designers and product owners early in the design process to bake accessibility in by design, actively participating in Agile ceremonies and communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders. This role requires a Top-Secret/SCI clearance and offers partial telework options.

Required Qualifications

  • A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • four (4) years of Software Engineer or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience developing front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Vue
  • Hands-on expertise testing with JAWS screen reader

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience producing VPATs/Accessibility Conformance Reports for federal agency review
  • Familiarity with integrating automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD)
  • Experience with Cypress or similar tools for automated UI/accessibility test scripting
  • Familiarity with Cloud-based architecture and deployment (Amazon Web Services)
  • Familiarity with domain knowledge surrounding government agency reporting and dissemination policies
