Job Summary
Enterprise Architect needed to support a federal government contract, providing strategic guidance and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant enterprise architecture across complex government systems. Responsibilities include developing architecture strategy, roadmaps, and reference models; defining principles and standards for system, application, and infrastructure architectures; ensuring integration of cloud, on-premises, and hybrid solutions; collaborating with program managers, engineers, and cybersecurity teams; conducting architecture reviews, gap analyses, and risk assessments; enforcing governance and compliance with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP); supporting modernization and digital transformation; mentoring technical teams on architecture best practices; contributing to proposals and solution demonstrations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience supporting federal, state, or local government programs
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, FEAF)
- Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid IT environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, Zero Trust, and secure system design
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making
- Experience in system integration, data architecture, and application portfolio management
- Familiarity with government compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF)
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or MBA with a focus on technology management
- Certifications such as TOGAF 9 Certified, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar credentials
- Experience working in large-scale, complex IT environments within the professional, scientific, and technical services industry
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices to support continuous delivery and integration
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills demonstrated through successful cross-functional project leadership
- Experience leading enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives
