Enterprise Architect, AWS Practice
RemoteCanada
Job Summary
Own the architecture across client engagements from discovery through go-live, translating business goals into coherent AWS designs while leading security reviews and compliance gates. Serve as the primary point of contact for architecture strategy, running discovery, building business cases, and supporting pre-sales estimates. Establish standards, governance, and reusable playbooks to streamline greenfield AWS account standups, managing multiple simultaneous engagements without losing technical thread. Drive ROI analysis and executive conversations to ensure alignment between technical decisions and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on AWS architecture, with real depth across the core services
- 5+ years designing and governing secure, scalable, highly available systems in complex organizations
- A track record of owning client relationships and outcomes, not only technical deliverables
- Comfort in front of regulated enterprise clients — you understand what their security, compliance and approval processes are really asking for, and you carry credibility with their executives
- Consulting or professional services experience, where managing the client relationship is inseparable from the technical work
- TOGAF certification, or equivalent depth applying a formal enterprise architecture framework in practice
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Amazon Connect or other CCaaS/contact center solutions, including AWS + Salesforce integration (Connect + Service Cloud Voice)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional or a relevant Specialty)
- Experience with AI/ML services like Amazon Q, Bedrock, or SageMaker
- Multi-cloud experience (Azure or GCP) alongside a primary AWS focus
