Job Summary
Lead Discovery & Assessment activities to review current environment findings, validate assumptions, and identify technical risks and dependencies. Define planning baselines with the Project Manager and establish a 10% variance threshold for discovery findings. Own the target-state architecture design across all domains, including Entra ID, Exchange Online coexistence, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and security baselines. Approve runbooks and migration throughput baselines before design phase closure. Oversee Pilot Migration execution for a 1,000-user cohort and sign off on migration reports validating identity cutover, mail flow, and device transition. Serve as design authority through all migration waves, overseeing Day 1.5 cutover execution within a 30-hour window and providing technical decision authority. Act as the escalation point for all Sev1 defects, diagnosing root causes and approving remediation approaches. Provide technical leadership during the hypercare stabilisation period, approving technical remediation for systemic issues and validating compliance and data integrity post-migration. Lead preparation of the Programme Closure Report and facilitate knowledge transfer to KC operations. Present technical status to KC leadership at Steering Committee meetings and mentor the delivery team.

- Wave-by-wave technical sign-off
- Monitor migration performance against baseline
- Lead wave readiness reviews with all specialists
- Provide technical leadership during hypercare stabilisation period
- Escalation point for complex post-migration issues
- Approve technical remediation approaches for systemic issues
- Validate compliance and data integrity post-migration
- Oversee source tenant decommission planning
- Lead preparation of D-10 (Programme Closure Report)
- Knowledge transfer to KC operations
- Attend all Steering Committee meetings
- Maintain technical risk register
- Approve all architectural decisions made by Migration Architects and specialists
- Mentor delivery team
- Champion technical excellence
- Present technical status to KC leadership at Steering Committee
- Provide executive summaries of technical risks and mitigation status
- Clarify technical assumptions and design decisions to KC stakeholders
- Approve technical content in programme report
