Job Summary
Enterprise Sales Executive responsible for owning the full sales cycle with enterprise customers, building and maintaining a robust pipeline, closing deals, and driving recurring revenue growth. Responsibilities include prospecting, initial outreach, contract negotiations, and closing, while collaborating with product, marketing, and customer success to address customer needs; delivering tailored product demos to senior executives; leading account planning; forecasting opportunities in CRM; and representing Kong at industry events. Must demonstrate strong consultative selling, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking, with experience selling SaaS/enterprise software to large enterprises and familiarity with open-source software, APIs, or related infrastructure. Seeks a high-impact, results-driven professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and owning a sales territory.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years enterprise sales experience
- proven track record in closing complex SaaS/enterprise software deals
- experience selling to senior-level executives and multiple departments
- strong consultative selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce) and data-driven forecasting
- ability to build pipeline, manage full sales cycle, and achieve revenue targets
- experience with or knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- travel as needed to meet with customers and prospects
