Job Summary
The Enrollment & Credentialing Coordinator ensures providers, locations, and services are fully credentialed and enrolled across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, maintaining enrollment workflows, CAQH, NPI/PECOS updates, and payer-provider communications to support revenue readiness. Responsibilities include managing provider credentialing, contract updates, and payer-related operations for new hires, new locations, acquisitions, and expansion, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely enrollment. The role collaborates with RCM, Operations, Billing, Corporate Development, and external payer partners to minimize enrollment delays, support onboarding, and maintain accurate documentation and centralized tracking. Ideal candidates will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field, multiple years of credentialing and payer enrollment experience, knowledge of payer credentialing requirements and contract structures, and strong negotiation and relationship-management skills; CPCS certification and Athena EHR experience are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in provider credentialing, and payer enrollment
- Strong knowledge of payer credentialing requirements and contract structures
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare regulations and/or compliance standards
- Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
- Ability to collaborate in a data-driven, customer-focused team environment
- Experience with multi-specialty practices or MSO structures preferred
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification, and Athena EHR experience is a plus
