Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to patients on the Medical/Oncology/Haematology and Palliative Care ward, working alongside clinicians to deliver acute medical and specialized cancer treatment. Plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care while promoting effective communication and teamwork within the department. Provide patient education, support and supervise staff and students, including orientating and precepting personnel. Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. This permanent full-time or part-time role requires availability for all shifts across seven days. Salary ranges from $67,397 to $107,881 pro rata, with benefits including salary packaging and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse
- Recent acute inpatient experience
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Commitment to and support of the Mission and Values
- Vaccination from Influenza
Desired Qualifications
- Oncology experience (including cytotoxic medication administration)
- Availability for all shifts (AM / PM / Night Duty / Weekends) across 7 days
