Job Summary
Provide safe, effective, and patient-centred nursing care to allocated patients following Orthopaedic and Urology procedures, including joint replacements, ligament repairs, fracture repairs, kidney stone extraction, and robotic surgery. Monitor recovery, administer medications, manage pain, perform wound care, and assist with mobilisation. Recognise changes in clinical condition, escalate concerns to the Registered Nurse and multidisciplinary team, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Support safe discharge planning with patient and family education. Work within the 2 North 30-bed surgical ward on a permanent part-time basis of up to 30 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care, surgical or relevant healthcare environment
- Well-developed clinical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Sound clinical judgement

- Ability to recognise and appropriately escalate changes in a patient's condition
