Job Summary
Deliver respectful, trauma-informed nursing supports to LGBTQIA+ participants, including medication administration, personal care, wound care, and PEG feeding assistance. Monitor clinical presentations, manage continence and bowel care, and ensure infection control while maintaining accurate progress notes and incident reporting. Foster participant independence, encourage community access, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to align with NDIS standards. Requires Diploma of Nursing, AHPRA registration, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Nursing
- Current AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Strong understanding of inclusive and trauma-informed care
- Experience supporting LGBTQIA+ communities
- Mental health or psychosocial disability experience
- Experience supporting neurodivergent participants
- Understanding of minority stress and intersectionality
