Job Summary
Deliver safe and effective nursing supports within your scope of practice, assisting participants with medication administration, personal care, mobility, and delegated clinical procedures such as wound and catheter care. Monitor participant health by tracking vital observations, diabetes management, and nutrition, while identifying signs of deterioration or behavioural escalation to escalate concerns appropriately. Follow participant care plans and behaviour support strategies, collaborating with Registered Nurses, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote independence and safety. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensure compliance with NDIS standards, and liaise professionally with stakeholders to uphold participant dignity and trauma-informed care principles.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Nursing
- Current AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in disability or community nursing
- Experience supporting participants with high-intensity supports
- SIL or complex care experience
- Mental health or psychosocial disability experience
- Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice
