Job Summary
Monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay. Ensure the facility, equipment, and clinical environment are ready to support safe, efficient surgical care. Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress, and respond promptly to changes or complications. Provide clear education and guidance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge. Foster confidence, teamwork, and safe practice among colleagues while promoting continuous improvement across the hospital. This role involves working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes. Candidates must hold current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled nurse and possess experience in Pre-op/DOSA in a surgical hospital setting. Pre-employment screening includes a criminal history check, confirmation of Australian working rights, and a working with children check.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Pre-op/ DOSA in a surgical hospital setting
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled nurse
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff and other stakeholders
- Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
- Experience in our hospital's specialties
- Experience in a fast-paced day/ short stay hospital environment
- Recent criminal history check
- Confirmation of Australian working rights
- Working with children or vulnerable people check
- Evidence of immunisation
