Job Summary
Enrolled Nurse needed to provide in-home clinical nursing care to veterans in Cairns, delivering care per care plans and guidelines. Responsibilities include administering medications, wound care, monitoring vital signs and catheter care, supporting chronic disease management, documenting changes, and escalating concerns to the Registered Nurse or clinical lead. Role involves travel within the local area to clients’ homes, collaboration with other health professionals, client-centered care, and upholding values of respect, compassion, and excellence. Flexible shifts with minimum 2-hour blocks, travel cost coverage, and additional pay for nights, weekends, and public holidays. Immediate start highly regarded. Submit via Seek.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Must have work rights in Australia
- Previous experience in community, aged care, or DVA nursing (highly regarded)
- A genuine passion for client-centered care and service excellence
- Excellent clinical judgement and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to travel within the local area to support clients in their homes
- Availability to start immediately is highly regarded
