Job Summary
Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care Worker roles available in home-based veteran care in Idalia/Wulguru, Queensland. You will deliver clinical nursing care and assist with personal care, medications, wound care, vital signs, catheter care, and chronic disease management. Responsibilities include collaborating with nurses and allied health professionals, documenting care, supporting client independence, and traveling between Idalia and Wulguru to provide in-home services, with overnight shifts highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Availability for overnight visits is highly preferred
- A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Must have work rights in Australia
- Previous experience in community, aged care, or DVA nursing (highly regarded)
- A genuine passion for client-centered care and service excellence
- Excellent clinical judgement and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to travel across Wulguru and Idalia to support clients in their homes
- Availability to start immediately is highly regarded
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or equivalent
- Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic
- Previous experience in personal care or aged care (preferred but not essential)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
