Job Summary
Enrolled Agent to support Legal Staff at a remote tax law firm. The role involves contacting the IRS and state agencies, developing and submitting payment plan requests, preparing tax returns, collaborating with attorneys and legal staff on assigned cases, reviewing financial documents to determine optimal resolutions, negotiating installment agreements and offers in compromise, releasing levies, and conducting client calls/meetings to facilitate information exchange. Requires active EA license, active CAF number, and at least five years of IRS negotiation experience; tax preparation experience is a plus. Operates remotely with standard 9am–5pm PST office hours; candidate may be based anywhere in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license
- Active Centralized Authorization File (CAF) number from IRS
- Five (5) years of experience conducting negotiations with the IRS
- Tax preparation experience is a plus
