Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic settings for elementary through high school students. Prepare sessions using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities, while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment and maintaining active student participation. Adapt teaching styles to varying ages and experience levels, ensuring appropriate supervision and adherence to school policies and safety protocols. Communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program needs, and arrive prepared and on time for scheduled 1–4 instructional hours per week. Assignments typically run 8–10 weeks with rolling start dates, compensated at $50+ per hour based on qualifications and location.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
