Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or tutoring programs for elementary through high school students. Prepare for each session using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment. Maintain active supervision and classroom management throughout instruction, adapting to varying student ages and learning styles. Communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program needs, and adhere to all site policies and safety protocols. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions. This on-site role typically involves 1–4 instructional hours per week for 8–10 weeks, with compensation starting at $50+ per hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
