Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or tutoring programs while preparing sessions using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment by maintaining appropriate supervision, encouraging active student participation, and adapting to varying ages and learning styles. Communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program needs, and adhere to all site policies, safety expectations, and emergency protocols. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled instructional sessions, typically ranging from 1–4 hours per week across 8–10 week assignments. Compensation starts at $50+ per hour and varies based on qualifications and assignment factors.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
