Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic programs for elementary through high school students. Prepare sessions using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a safe, inclusive, and supervised learning environment. Adapt teaching styles to varying ages and learning needs, maintain active student participation, and communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program needs. Follow all site procedures, safety expectations, and emergency protocols while arriving prepared and on time. Schedule varies by assignment, typically 1–4 instructional hours per week for 8–10 weeks, with compensation starting at $50+ per hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
