Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic programs across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Prepare for each session using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment. Maintain active student participation and appropriate supervision throughout, adapting instruction to varying ages and learning styles. Communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program needs, and adhere to all site policies and emergency protocols. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled instructional sessions. Compensation starts at $50+ per hour, with rates varying by assignment and qualifications. Program assignments typically last 8–10 weeks and run 1–4 instructional hours per week, primarily after school.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
