Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic programs for elementary through high school students. Prepare sessions using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment. Maintain active supervision, adapt teaching styles to student needs, and communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program requirements. Follow all site policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled instructional hours. This opportunity involves independent contractor assignments at partner schools or community locations, typically lasting 8–10 weeks with 1–4 hours per week. Compensation starts at $50+ per hour, varying by assignment factors.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
