Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic programs for elementary through high school students. Prepare sessions using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment. Maintain active supervision, adapt teaching to varying student needs, and communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program requirements. Follow all site policies, safety expectations, and emergency protocols while arriving prepared and on time for scheduled sessions. Assignments typically run 8–10 weeks with 1–4 instructional hours per week, compensated at $50+ per hour based on qualifications and location.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
