Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic programs for elementary through high school students. Prepare for each session using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment. Maintain active supervision and adapt teaching to varying student ages and learning styles. Communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and program needs, adhering to all site policies and safety protocols. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled instructional hours. This independent contractor role offers rolling assignments at partner schools or community locations, with compensation starting at $50+ per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
