Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic programs across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Prepare for each session using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. Maintain appropriate supervision, adapt instruction to varying student needs, and communicate professionally with school personnel regarding attendance and scheduling. Arrive prepared and on time for 1–4 instructional hours per week, typically after school, for assignments lasting 8–10 weeks. Compensation starts at $50+ per hour and varies based on qualifications and assignment factors.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
