Job Summary
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction in STEM, arts, sports, or academic support settings for elementary through high school students. Prepare for each session using approved lesson plans or instructor-developed activities while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. Maintain appropriate supervision and classroom management throughout sessions, adhering to all school policies, safety expectations, and emergency protocols. Communicate professionally with designated school personnel regarding attendance, scheduling, and program needs. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled instructional hours, typically ranging from one to four hours per week. Compensation starts at $50+ per instructional hour and varies based on assignment factors. This opportunity serves enthusiastic instructors from diverse educational and professional backgrounds to partner with schools and community organizations on rolling, eight-to-ten-week assignments.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant professional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, or similar settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
