Enrichment Program Specialist

Job Summary

Design culturally relevant enrichment curriculum and implement daily on-site activities including academic support, college exploration, and health initiatives for youth aged 8-17. Coordinate project-based learning, supervise interns and volunteers, and manage intake, registration, and orientation processes for new participants. Monitor snack distribution, maintain accurate client records, and compile data for funding reports and CMS submissions. Collaborate with community providers, lead quarterly parent meetings, and advocate for participant needs through referrals to internal and external services. Provide safe passage between school sites and homes while ensuring a learner-centered environment that promotes physical and emotional safety.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years work experience with youth ages 8-17
  • experience and knowledge of trauma informed practices
  • experience and knowledge of restorative practices
  • experience and knowledge of harm reduction practices
  • Current CA Driver's License
  • current auto insurance
  • a clean driving record
  • Fingerprinting Clearance (DOJ)
  • Current Physical Health Screening (every 2 years thereafter)
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certificate (every 2 years thereafter)
  • Current Immunizations (TB) (every 2 years thereafter)
  • Clearance Child Abuse Index
  • Fluent in English/Spanish
  • AS Degree with an emphasis in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field
  • must be enrolled in college education working towards a BA degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field

  • ECE/CDEV or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, youth-centered setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet applications

Desired Qualifications

  • Must be available in late afternoon, evening and some weekend activities, as needed
