Job Summary
Deliver engaging, hands-on STEM lessons aligned with course objectives, guiding students through experiments, projects, and engineering challenges. Foster an inclusive classroom environment where learners explore robotics, coding, AI, and scientific concepts while developing critical thinking and teamwork skills. Maintain student engagement and attend occasional trainings and staff meetings. Schedule includes flexible hours between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay of $35/hour for instruction and $22/hour for non-teaching duties. Travel to various school sites throughout San Diego County is required.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for inspiring and mentoring youth
- Strong presentation and classroom facilitation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate way
- Reliable transportation for travel throughout San Diego County
- Must be comfortable traveling to school sites throughout San Diego County and Arc offices as needed
- Professional experience, education, or certification in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, Coding, etc.)
