Enrichment and Animal Well-being Internship

Develop, coordinate, and implement daily enrichment for multiple species while constructing, evaluating new enrichment devices. Conduct behavioral observations and perform data entry and analysis to support animal welfare assessments. Assist keepers in setting up exhibits and participate in animal training sessions using positive reinforcement techniques. Brainstorm enrichment ideas and help interpret enrichment and training sessions for the public. This four- to six-month role reports to the Curator of Behavioral Husbandry & Wellbeing and includes a research project component.
