Job Summary
Provide best-in-class resident care and support by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication supervision. Complete clinical tasks such as recording vital signs, weights, and blood pressures, while documenting all activities in resident charts. Respond promptly to family inquiries and report accidents or incidents immediately, rendering first aid as needed. Ensure room and community cleanliness, maintain safety through scheduled rounds, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges. Comply with universal precautions and infection control standards. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience providing direct personal care services to senior citizens in a nursing facility, hospital, assisted living community or personal care home
- Effectively read, write, speak and understand English
- Commitment to and passion about serving customers and delivering best-in-class service
- Willingness to continuously look for opportunities to WOW customers
- Willingness to always go the extra mile
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude towards older adults and their families
- Ability to effectively and professionally engage, interact and collaborate with residents, residents' families, associates, etc.
- Ability, availability and willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs/schedule dictates
- Ability to perform the physical functions of the role which include: frequently support up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift/carry up to 30 pounds, frequently kneel, bend, and reach
- Willingness to take, and ability to pass, a drug screen, TB test and a physical
- Willingness to consent to, and ability to pass, a criminal background check
