Job Summary
ENLACES Research Director leads the ENLACES research agenda and oversees research across districts and partnerships, including impact evaluations, quasi-experimental and mixed-methods studies, and translation of findings into practice. Responsibilities include developing research strategies, managing a research team (graduate students and research assistants), coordinating with NU affiliates and external partners, producing briefs and tools, securing grant funds, and ensuring programs align with evidence-based practices. The role involves collaboration across NU entities, grant development, data analysis, and dissemination of results to inform policy and practice. Travel to San Diego is approximately 20%.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in education, psychology, research methodology or related field
- Minimum of three years of related experience
- Five (5) years’ experience leading research projects (project director, task leads)
- Experience with data collection or evaluation in community- and school-based settings preferred
- Experience with mixed-methods research preferred
- Experience building and maintaining partner relationships preferred
- Experience with grant writing preferred
- Experience designing analyses with practice implications preferred
- Schedule flexibility for late afternoon, evening, and weekend events when they occur
