Job Summary
Schedule and direct personnel and resources to provide quality, cost-effective enhancement services to clients. Coordinate all materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors required for landscape work, while inspecting properties to prepare specific action plans. Manage irrigation systems, identify repairs or insect/disease problems, and perform hands-on work with crews to meet scheduling demands. Train and develop employees through daily operational guidance, equipment operation, pruning techniques, and safety monitoring. Work with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire crew members, and prepare daily schedules. Maintain administrative systems, order materials, and enforce BrightView policies regarding equipment upkeep and training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (minimum 2 years) in a business-related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, the landscaping industry, or local marketplace
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs
- Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
- Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day
- Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur
- Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
- Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present
- Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes
- Obtain and maintain a PLANET Certification (Installation of Hard and Softscapes)
