Job Summary
Secure permanent housing for formerly homeless individuals while providing short-term service planning, crisis response, and community-building activities. Build effective relationships with clients, assess social service needs, and make referrals for mental health, substance abuse, and disability issues. Coordinate with local agencies to address client needs, organize community events, and facilitate involvement in support groups and meetings. Maintain updated information tools, document client activities digitally and in hard copy, and report regularly to the Supportive Services Manager on programmatic issues. Participate in case conferencing, public policy advocacy efforts, and staff meetings to foster a clean, safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Social Work or related field
- 3 years of experience with people experiencing homelessness
- 3 years of experience with mental health
- 3 years of experience with substance abuse
- Able to read, write and speak in English
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel
- Knowledge of MS Word
- Knowledge of Google Docs/Sheets
- Knowledge of company e-mail
- Flexibility to work evenings
- Knowledge of referral resources
- Two years of case documentation experience
- Background in case management
- Background in advocacy
- Background in related career
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Must have a valid Washington State driver's license
- Must meet Washington State minimum requirement for driver liability insurance
- Must be able to pass a driving record check
- Must pass criminal background checks
- Must pass drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing services to low-income and/or people experiencing homelessness
- Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field
- CPR/First Aid certification
