Job Summary
Engr, Sys Des role focused on designing new or improving designs of electron-beam imaging products for the semiconductor equipment market. The product subsystems include light optics, electron optics, imaging, detectors, HV electronics, vacuum systems, wafer transfer systems, detection and classification algorithms, machine control and UI software. The candidate will gain a detailed functional understanding of the entire product, act independently, and develop innovative analyses and solutions for complex problems, including specifying SW/Algo/HW requirements and contributing to product integration and maintenance. On-site customer support is expected in Taiwan, Korea, and the candidate will receive training at our Singapore and US offices. Travel load is 75-90%. The role requires a Doctorate/Master's degree in relevant fields, strong scripting (MATLAB, Python) for data collection & analysis, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Required Qualifications
- Doctorate/Master's degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Materials and Metallurgical Engineering
- Knowledge in instrumentation, signal processing and optical/electro-optical systems such as electron microscopes is preferred
- Experience with Vacuum Systems, Electron Optics, and High Voltage for scanning electron microscopes or equivalent a plus
- Hands-on experiences in machine control and/or scientific data analysis is highly desired
- Proficiency in scripting language (MATLAB, Python, others) for data collection & analysis
- Willingness to travel 75-90% and onsite customer support in Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and US offices
- Dual Degree from IIT's (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Engineering Physics)
