Job Summary
Teach up to three students simultaneously at different levels using pre-planned lessons and Oxford Learning methodologies. Deliver instruction both online and in-person while filling post-lesson notes and completing daily student communication updates. Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and guide students through Elementary to Grade 12 curriculum to build their self-confidence and academic skills. Work directly with students during after-school and evening shifts, with some Saturday availability, to help them overcome academic hurdles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
- Good knowledge of the current Elementary to Grade 12 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Work during after-school and evening hours (3:30pm - 8:00pm)
- Some Saturdays (9:0am - 2:00pm)
- Commitment until the end of the school year
